At the end of the blog post Evelyn’s Pretty in Pink quilt I mentioned that Lucy and Tim announced that they are expecting another baby girl in November  so time to plan another quilt!lr

Well baby girl Aliza Kate arrived at 12:40 pm on November 8 and the quilt arrived  today so now I can show it online.

I had found out that the color scheme for the nursery was going to be  green and pink with bunnies and flowers so I went off on a search for fabric to match these criteria and found the panel – Timeless Treasures Fabric Bunny and her Bear which has cute coordinating  fabric and from that I picked these three.

Of course I started with Art and Stitch and my Accuquilt Go Big to cut out the letters ALIZA    As I own the GO! Carefree Alphabet die set and Art and Stitch has the vector files for lots of the Accuquilt Go shape I love to play with digitizing the letter for baby quilts.

Once the embroidery was done, I then sewed together the top and put it on the frame for quilting. For a  quilting design this as it was whimsical with flowers and hearts. I really loved the texture that the  quilting design gave to the top as shown here:

Welcome to our wonderful wacky family Aliza Kate looking forward to meeting you and watch you grow up!
